Timing Your Spell Work With Days of the Week

Hello and thanks for stopping by! Today we are taking a look at timing spells with planetary hours and days of the week.

In some magickal systems it is believed that the position and phase of the moon are important things to consider for spell work, just the same, it is thought to be just as important to consider the day of the week and the hour of the day due to planetary influences.

Below are some correspondences to the days of the week that you may want to consider when crafting your spell or intentional work, there are more than what I have listed here, and maybe there are some you have discovered work well for you. This is not meant to limit only to inspire.

Sunday Celestial Body: Sun Colors: Gold White Orange and Yellow Zodiac: Leo

Monday Celestial Body: Moon

Colors: Silver, White, Gray, Blue

Zodiac: Cancer

Metal: Silver

Wednesday Celestial Body: Mercury

Friday Celestial Body: Venus

Zodiac: Taurus and Libra

Protection, Willpower, Wisdom Saturday is ruled by Saturn - the Task Master. This planet's energy is great for boundary setting, lesson learning, binding, releasing, self growth, perseverance, and business. It's energy can be heavy, but it is strong.

Can't wait till Thursday for a Wealth Spell? Try using the Planetary Hours for assistance. On occasion there is not going to be a Full Moon on a Thursday when you need it. So instead we use the planetary hours. This allows for the planet's influence to still be involved with your spell in regards to timing. You can see on the table below there is a pretty elegant pattern. This planetary hours chart can be found in several books on spell development, the table is consistent wherever you find it. This table is one I adapted from The Greater Key of Solomon which may be it's origin, but I am not sure. One thing I did find interesting is that this is the same order that the planets descend on the "Tree of Life" in the Kabbalah / Qabalah. Starting with Saturn and ending with the Moon. (but that is a whole other blog post.)
